ABOUT ELEVATE Strength & Performance

All of our programs are designed to guide you to achieving your lifelong health and fitness goals. We focus on the basics, which include being able to squat, hip hinge (deadlift), push, pull and carry using a system of progressions for each movement pattern.

Before you participate in any of our training programs, we meet for a Strategy Session to learn more about you, your specific goals, your health and exercise history - to understand your "why." We will also go through the Functional Movement System screen, to ensure proper exercises are given based on your abilities and skills.

ELEVATE Strength & Performance offers four core program: Team Training, Elite Training, Online Training and Nutrition Coaching.

Team Training is our small group program, up to 12 members each session, and runs on a 3X per week cycle. This program delivers it all - strength, fat-loss, confidence, knowledge and skill.

Elite Training, which is semi-private with up to 3 members and one coach each session, is the program you need if your goals are more specific and you want an individualized program. Our Elite Training program runs 2-3X per week and includes all of the benefits of Team Training.

Online Training is a distance/remote program if you train at home or at another gym and you need a coach, an individualized program and motivation to keep you accountable.

Nutrition Coaching is a sensible and realistic approach to create positive, healthy eating habits, resulting in fat-loss, feeling better and living happier. No restrictive diets or quick fixes here. Just like our training programs, our Nutrition Coaching is centered on you - your wants, needs, desires and your "why." We are certified Precision Nutrition coaches.

Evan Marcantonio is the owner and head coach of ELEVATE Strength & Performance in Worcester, MA. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Sport Management program, Evan earned certifications as a Personal Trainer and Health Coach through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Evan is certified through StrongFirst as a Level 2 kettlebell (SFG II) and barbell (SFL) instructor, and is a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) through Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning. He is  also Level 2 certified with Functional Movement Systems (FMS).

Mary SuRprenant


Mary is a graduate of Boston College where she played varsity softball.  She earned her personal trainer certification through the National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT).  Mary is a Russian Kettlebell Certified (RKC) Instructor and she has taken the Functional Movement Systems FMS Level 1 course. She is is certified by the American Heart Association for First Aid/CPR/AED.



Brandon is a graduate of The University of Rhode Island Kinesiology & Massachusetts College of Pharmacy Nursing programs. Brandon earned the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS) designation with The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Brandon was a Volunteer Intern at The University of Rhode Island Varsity Weight Room in 2008 where he assisted with the training sessions of their Division 1 athletes from multiple programs.  Brandon also interned at South County Orthopedics Sports Performance in 2009 and he spent time as a Personal Trainer at Commonwealth Sports Club in Boston from 2009-2010. He is a Registered Nurse and is CPR/AED certified through the American Red Cross.  He believes “strength is never a weakness” (Mark Bell) and loves getting loud for the MetCons!

WHY Kettlebells?

No other tool can develop all-around strength, build muscle, improve flexibility, burn fat and boost metabolic pathways as efficiently and effectively as kettlebells.

Kettlebells are compact and simple, yet complex and indestructible. They can be used for grinding movements such as the deadlift, squat, press and get up, or for ballistic movements such as the swing, clean and snatch. Kettlebells promote joint stability and mobility and offer instant feedback.
