Benefits Of A Routine (08/28/2024)

Are your kids back to school?

If so, and you’re like me, you will undoubtedly miss them being around as much, yet at the same time feel a sense of excitement that you all get back into a routine.

Not only does a routine provide greater structure for our kids in school, a routine also reboots our ability to be productive, putting more intense focus into our personal and professional goals.

Establishing a routine offers benefits ranging from improved self-discipline and mental health, reduced stress, increased productivity and time management, and (maybe most importantly) better sleep.

Structure and routines help us eliminate distractions and give us an ability to concentrate and accomplish more meaningful work.

Your routine will help you plan and execute tasks or activities that are most important to you.

You can block out time to exercise uninterrupted.

You can dedicate time to meal planning and food preparation.

You can finish what you started with a sense of accomplishment and achievement.

Your time and energy will be better managed.

All of these benefits can lead to reduced stress, a better mood (super important when you’re around co-workers or when your kids get out of school) and an improved sense of well-being.

Getting back to your school year routine is a super power to managing your life and your personal goals.

Time is not flying by. It’s on our side and it’s our responsibility to manage it the best we can. We can make the most of it with routines in place so that we can execute, be disciplined and consistent with our actions, reinforcing our most important positive habits.
