What People Seem To Need Most Is Structure

Lately, the people walking into our gym are all looking for the same things: structure, community, and a coach’s eye.

They’re overwhelmed by everything available in a traditional gym, and right now, those gyms are overwhelmed by people trying to restart their health and fitness resolutions.

They’re unsure whether they’re performing movements correctly.

They don’t know how to organize a workout or build a training program that actually moves them toward a goal.

They’re not coming to ELEVATE for bodybuilding routines. They’re reaching out because their low backs hurt, they want to be more active with their family, and they want more energy and to feel better overall.

It’s easy to blame social media, but I don’t think most of these people are scrolling for training ideas. Even if they are, it’s understandable to feel confused by all the noise.

The simple act of walking into our gym takes courage. Asking for help is the first meaningful step toward learning what to do, and how to do it well.

If any of this sounds familiar, here’s what we’re doing for the first month of training in 2026 for our small group program, TEAM.

We keep it simple and intentional.

The first month establishes a foundation. If covers all the major movement patterns we’ll build on over the next three months and continue refining throughout the year. This is thoughtful, repeatable, and sustainable training that makes sense.

You can follow the program exactly as written or plug and play with exercises that make sense for you. If you’re unsure, substitute wisely and keep the intent the same.

Each session begins with a primer. If we’re deadlifting, we prepare the hinge pattern. If we’re pressing, we prepare the press using positions that create tension and engage the core.

We don’t rush past preparation. We use it to set the tone for the entire session.

What you’ll see in this month’s training cards (linked below) is a 3-day structure: Day 1 on Monday, Day 2 on Wednesday, and Day 3 Friday and/or Saturday. We intentionally use paper so members can handwrite and get off their phones.

The link doesn’t include warm ups and conditioning, but if you look closely, you’ll notice clear intent and thoughtful progression built into the strength program.

This approach allows members of different skill and experience levels to feel challenged, gain confidence, and make progress.

If you’re curious to experience TEAM, or any of our other programs, we’re always running a fully guaranteed 14-Day For $49 trial. And since January is Bring-A-Friend month, members can invite a friend to train with them for two free sessions.

If structure, community, and coaching are what you need right now, this is a great place to start.
